Shopify has made improvements to the default sorting of key index tables to help you access the most relevant information quickly and efficiently. Here’s what’s changed:

Products

• Old: Alphabetical (A-Z)
• New: Last created (most recent first)

This update ensures your newest products appear at the top, making it easier to manage and review your latest additions.

Purchase Orders

• Old: Last created
• New: Expected arrival date (future dates first)

Transfers

• Old: Last created
• New: Estimated arrival date (future dates first)

By prioritising expected arrival dates for Purchase Orders and Transfers, you can quickly see what’s due to arrive, helping you stay on top of inventory planning.

Files

• New: Last added

With these refinements, your workflow becomes even more seamless. Sort controls remain conveniently located in the top right corner of the index page—simply click to adjust sorting based on your preferred criteria.
